“Art Alive in the Garden” at Rob Williams Studio/Gallery

The garden at the Rob Williams Studio/Gallery will come alive with creative activity on July 12 & 13 while the Door County Outdoor Painters (DCOP) gather to exhibit and demonstrate their various, unique styles of painting.

Throughout the “Art Alive in the Garden” event, held 9 am – 5 pm, each DCOP member will create his or her own interpretation of this northern Door County garden. The participating artists will be available to engage in conversations with visitors in a leisurely and relaxed atmosphere, and answer questions concerning the plein air process. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served and each visitor has the chance to win an original piece of artwork created during the event by artist Rob Williams.

For years this robust group of Door County painters have gathered weekly at various locales attempting to capture on canvas the unique beauty of Door County as they hone their skills as plein air artists. Participating artists include: Jim Leatham (Sister Bay), Randy Rasmussen (Sturgeon Bay), Glenn Gerber (Institute), Barb Kenyon (Ephraim), Bill Doyle (Green Bay), Madonna Siles (Sturgeon Bay), Joe Schulte (Ellison Bay), and Williams (Ellison Bay).

Rob Williams Studio/Gallery is located about 4.2 miles north of Ellison Bay just off of Highway 42 at 753 Isle View Road. For more information call 920.854.9823 or visit robwilliamsstudio.com.
