Art for Paws

Door County is full of many talented artists as well as many adorable animals. It would only seem right that these two finer things in life be combined for a great cause. On June 6, the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) will host “Art for a Great Cause Paws.” This event consists of more than thirty local, regional, and national artists that have shown their work in Door County. Many of the featured artists are recipients of the Plein Air Award. Out of the goodness of their hearts they have donated their work to DCHS. On June 6, 4 – 6 pm, DCHS will host a wine and cheese reception and display the artwork available for purchase. All proceeds from the event directly benefit DCHS. The art will be on display at the shelter throughout the end of the year and can be purchased at any time through December of 2015.
