Artisan Open House

Lily Bay Pottery

Lily Bay Lakeshore Artisans will host an open house from June 13 to 15 from 10 am to 5 pm. The open house includes work from: a mother-daughter team, two professionals, a recycler and a photographer with a charitable beginning for Habitat for Humanity.

Lily Bay Soap Company was founded by Ann Emmerich and her daughter Nancy. They pride themselves in making high quality natural soaps that are sudsy, moisturizing and eco-friendly. During the open house, Emmerich will go through the entire process.

Steve Ofenbeck is a craftsman by profession. He has settled into his own shop after 37 years of building homes. Now his focus is fine furniture and cabinetry. He will be building a picnic table outside during the open house.

Lily Bay Pottery is a working studio and gallery where Linda Sheard is the potter in residence. Come and see wood ash glazes being made on sight and a gas reduction kiln burning bright.

Jim Hoyer is Lily Bay Originals. He creates useful and artistic products by recycling and repurposing materials such as cedar twigs and old furniture pieces.

Nancy Prange has a passion for Door County scenes and a social conscience. After retiring she got involved with the woman’s arm of builders for Habitat for Humanity. She creates photo notecards, and donates the profits to Habitat. She will have many Door County landscapes and lighthouses for viewing in large and small sizes.

Lily Bay Lakeshore Artisans is between 3420 and 3516 N. Lake Michigan Dr., about four miles north of the Coast Guard Station on the canal in Sturgeon Bay.
