Aspiring Novelist Seeks Beta Readers

After 40 years of living in various locales around the country, John Adrian Reed returned to his hometown of Sturgeon Bay armed with three completed novel manuscripts, others formulating in his mind, and inspiration and characters developed from his time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the northern Mojave Desert and rural Missouri.

Reed is now seeking beta readers from among the county’s artistic population to help polish his stories for final submission to literary agents and hopes avid readers of fiction will offer to assist him. As a self-proclaimed “poor aspiring novelist,” he cannot offer compensation, but if someone with the expertise to bring his works to the level that would attract the attention of a traditional publisher, Reed would pay that person retroactively based on a per-page industry standard after obtaining a contract.
