Baileys Harbor Brown Trout Tourney Begins April 19

The Baileys Harbor Brown Trout Tournament, sponsored by the Baileys Harbor Community Association, will be held April 19-22. The top 40 fish caught in Door or Kewaunee waters receive cash prizes. Get out for this early season fishing to chase those monster browns.

There is $7,000 in prizes to be won and tickets are only $25. Tickets went on sale April 9. The first place fish wins a $1,500 prize package including $800 cash and a Door County vacation package. Participants can fish in both Door and Kewaunee County waters on the bay and lake side. Fish can be caught from a boat or from the shore.

There is a weigh-in station at the Baileys 57 Gas Station, Howie’s Tackle in Sturgeon Bay, and Kap’s Marina on Washington Island. Tickets will be on sale until close of business Friday, April 20. Tickets must be in hand before fishing and weighing.
