Baileys Harbor Poet Featured at Dickinson Series

Nancy Rafal will present her poetry Wednesday, June 9 at 7 pm at the UU Fellowship’s Dickinson Poetry Series in Ephraim.

Rafal wrote her first poem in grade school and after moving to Door County more than a dozen years ago, continues to take up the pen.

Rafel has participated in workshops with Ellen Kort, Marilyn Taylor, Barbara Larsen, Ted Kooser, and others. Her poems have appeared in the Peninsula Pulse, the Wisconsin Poets’ Calendar, and Sheepshead Review. She is treasurer for the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, a member of the Wisconsin Regional Writers, and is on the board of the Friends of Lorine Niedecker. Slightly Off Q is a chapbook of poetry she co-authored with June Nirschl and Judy Roy.

The Dickinson Series features poetry read by the author on the second Wednesday each month. Following the featured poet, others from the audience are invited to present their works.
