Barn Dance and Climb for the Cure at Team Leadership Center

The Team Leadership Center of Door County is hosting a series of events heading into summer. A Contra Dance through The Sugar On The Floor Barn Dance Society will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 6:30 – 9:30 pm, and then on May 3, from noon – 4 pm, the center will open up their doors for the Climb for the Cure fundraiser.

The evening of April 26 will be a great opportunity to meet new people and have a boot scootin’ hootenanny of a time! All are welcome for a night filled with music performed by The Sugar on the Floor Barn Dance Orchestra and Terry Simeone, Caller/Teacher at the end of April. All of the dances are taught on site; no previous dance experience is required. The event is family friendly and alcohol free. This dance is a benefit for summer youth scholarships through the Special Adventures Foundation of the Team Leadership Center. Suggested donations are $5 per person or $15 per family.

To benefit Relay for Life and cancer research, the Team Leadership Center will open their doors and the high ropes course to community members on Saturday, May 3 from noon – 4 pm to provide an opportunity to challenge themselves while climbing for the cure. Everyone is invited to climb just for fun or climb for someone that they are supporting in their fight against cancer. Join everyone at the Team Leadership Center to cheer each other on, take a ride down the zip line, leap for the trapeze and support a great cause while sharing an exhilarating afternoon with family and friends!

Suggested donation is $5 per person or $15 per family to climb for the afternoon. All climbing and safety gear included. High and low ropes certified instructors. Open to all ages, this is a family friendly event.

The Team Leadership Center is located eight miles north of Sturgeon Bay. Take Highway 57 north to Institute. Turn right on Dunn Road. Turn right on Ploor Road. Look for the big green barn!
