Battle for the Crown

Nine contestants will take the stage at the Southern Door Community Auditorium Saturday, Feb. 4 to compete for the title of Miss Door County. Kirsten Hawkey, Natalie Bretl, Madeline Winkel, Miluzka McMarthy, Iris Jones, Hannah Cole, Zephyr Ciesar, Susan Fochs and Samantha Cole will compete at the scholarship pageant, which has awarded $164,650 in cash scholarships to young Door County women in its 15 years of existence.

In addition Carly Sarkis, Lena MacDonald and Abbigayle Grosbeier will compete for the Outstanding Teen title.

Last year’s Miss Door County, Emily Larsen, will return to the show, as well as last year’s first Outstanding Teen Cora Baudhuin. Miss Wisconsin, Reanna Johnson will make an appearance as well.

Saturday’s show is sold out, but tickets for Friday’s dress rehearsal are still available at Concepts Bridal and Formalwear at 144 N. 3rd Avenue, Sturgeon Bay.
