Bazyli Studio Wearable Art Opens for Season

Bazyli Studio Wearable Art Gallery in Baileys Harbor opens for the season May 12. The studio and gallery are home to resident artists Peter Ciesla and Skye.

The new season brings Ciesla’s one-of-a-kind clothing designs that are created with his own plant-dyed, organic fabrics as well as coats, jackets and vests made with linen, hemp, organic cotton and silk. The gallery also features Ciesla and Skye’s beaded jewelry designs, featuring pendants, cuffs, earrings and larger sculptural neckpieces.

The gallery also represents a group of Wisconsin, regional and East Coast artists including Carter Smith Shibori, Tatiana Palnitska avant-garde clothing, the alpaca wraps and jewelry of 5 Miles East, Mary Mendla shibori and separates, Ilze Heider handbags, Joan Kennedy reclaimed/felted wool accessories and Ellen Gvora separates. New artists to the gallery are hand weaver and designer Vivian Morrison, wool/silk felt artist Tonya Utkina, Joanna Alot Ciecholewski paired silks and fiber artist Pat Kroth.

Bazyli Studio Wearable Art Gallery is located off Highway 57, north of Baileys Harbor at 2551 Ahrens Road. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm Wednesday through Saturday, or call 920.839.2526 for an appointment.
