Blessing of the Animals

Christians have long honored St. Francis of Assisi by blessing animals on his feast day. Continuing that tradition, Fr. Olin Sletto, vicar of the Episcopal Church of Christ the King and Holy Nativity, invites animals (large and small) and their owners to a Blessing of the Animals on Sept. 27, 9 am – 12 pm, at Jacksonport’s Lakeside Park.

Fr. Sletto will repeat the blessing Oct. 1, 9 am – 12 pm, at the Church of Christ the King, 512 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
