Boat Cleaning Stations Added to Parks

Door County Soil and Water Conservation, the Facilities and Parks Department, and the Door County Invasive Species Team have teamed up to install boat-cleaning stations at the county’s most popular boat launches to help water enthusiasts comply with Wisconsin law by preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species.

Door County will be installing two types of boat-cleaning stations: a Clean Drain Dry Dispose (CD3) model and a simpler model. CD3 stations are currently installed at George Pinney Park and Robert Carmody Park. The simplified cleaning stations will be installed at the Chaudoir Park and Murphy Park boat launches. Both types are free for boaters to use. Learn more at doorinvasives.org.
