Boat Runs Aground in Baileys Harbor

A 20-foot sailboat ran aground in about five feet of water not far from shore in Baileys Harbor Tuesday, June 13.

No passengers were hurt, but the boat was taking on water and required rescue. Personnel from the Door County Sheriff’s Department, Baileys Harbor Fire Department, and U.S. Coast Guard responded. The Baileys Harbor Fire Department towed the boat into the Baileys Harbor Marina.
