Boys Basketball: Clippers Sail Past Vikings

Sturgeon Bay’s boys basketball team jumped out to a 40-29 halftime lead Friday and went on to win in Packerland Conference action at Gibraltar, 87-68.

The Clippers had four players score in double figures led by Garrett Ulberg with 23 points. Calvin Richard added 19 points, Jackson Starr scored 11 and Hayden Tracy put in 10 more.

The Vikings were led by Braden Sitte with a game-high 40 points. Liam Lindenberg added 10 points.

Sturgeon Bay, which improved to 9-5 in the conference and 12-10 overall, closes out its regular-season schedule at home with league games Monday night against Kewaunee and Thursday against NEW Lutheran.

Gibraltar (2-13, 5-16) plays its final conference game Monday night at Algoma and closes out the regular season Thursday with a non-league game at Menominee, Michigan.
