Boys & Girls Club Hires AmeriCorps Staff
The Door County YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of Door County announce they will each hire a full-time AmeriCorps staff person to support volunteer engagement efforts from Oct. 21 – Aug. 31, 2015. The job descriptions will vary based on each organizations’ needs, but will ultimately involve recruitment of volunteers, coordination of volunteer database information and working with volunteers on various events/programs to better serve our community.
Candidates must be 21 years of age by Oct. 21, 2014, and must have a HS Diploma or GED certificate and pass a criminal background check. New hires will attend mandatory orientation on Oct. 21 – 24 and midterm training on Jan. 12 – 14, 2015. All expenses related to these training seminars will be covered (housing, meals and mileage).
