Business Briefs

• Holly Thomas, a Door County Realtor, has been awarded the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Realtors who receive the CRS Designation have completed advanced courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 4 percent of Realtors nationwide have earned the credential. Home buyers and sellers can be assured that CRS Designees subscribe to the strict Realtor code of ethics, have access to the latest technology and are specialists in helping maximize profits and minimize costs when buying or selling a home.

Holly Thomas is a sales associate with Professional Realty of Door County, Inc. in Sister Bay. She is a member of the Door County Board of Realtors. For more information email [email protected] or call 920.854.4994.

• Jim Marquardt is the new home furnishings manager at Door County Interiors & Design, Egg Harbor.

Marquardt brings to his position 17 years of experience in the furniture business including 15 years as owner of the former Bay Furniture, Sturgeon Bay. Furniture, he said, is a means of expression, and Door County homeowners prefer to make their own statement, as opposed to following mass market ideas.

His responsibilities include assisting customers with their furnishings selections; about 80 percent of the sales at Door County Interiors & Design are custom orders. He also works with furniture manufacturers and creates the look for the nearly 10,000 square foot furniture showroom. Marquardt teams up with Door County Interiors & Design’s designers and specialists in flooring and window coverings to develop decorating ideas for customers.

For more information visit http://www.doorcountyinteriors.com or by visiting the showroom at 7266 Hwy. 42, Egg Harbor.
