Buy Local Farm Tour & Mixer

Everyone is invited to the Door County Buy Local Farm Tour and Mixer on May 1, 4 – 7:30 pm at Waseda Farms, 7282 Logerquist Road, Baileys Harbor.

The family-friendly event includes a guided tour of the 100-year-old farming estate, exhibitors in a local foodie exhibit at the machine shed, and samples of fresh, local foods and beverages.

Bill Chaudoir, Executive Director of the Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC), opens the program at 6 pm and Dean Volenberg of the UW – Extension will present and distribute the 2012 Door County Local Producers Guide. Tom Lutsey, owner of Waseda Farms and host of the mixer, will give a presentation on the benefits of supporting local agriculture, and Chef Judy Samida will close the evening.

An RSVP to DCEDC at 920.743.3113 x200 or [email protected] by Friday, April 27 is appreciated, but not required. It is open to the public and exhibitors at no cost, but a $5 voluntary donation will help defray expenses.
