Door County Visitor Bureau Director Jack Moneypenny watches as Wisconsin Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett plugs an electric car into one of the DCVB’s two electric car charging stations, which were unveiled May 21 at the Door County Welcome Center, 1015 Green Bay Road, Sturgeon Bay. The DCVB is spearheading the charge to build a network of electric vehicle charging stations throughout Door County to help attract visitors who embrace ecotourism and the electric vehicle movement. A DCVB-produced map will be available later this year to help visitors locate where electric charging stations can be found in the county.
