Chef Lawrence Hutchinson Joins Glacier Ledge Restaurant

Slated to open in April 2017, Glacier Ledge, the casual fine-dining restaurant experience that is part of the Door Artisan Cheese Company, is getting ready for its first season. Glacier Ledge will feature a tantalizing menu for both lunch and dinner as well as indoor seating for 60 and outdoor seating for 60. Inside, you will find an elegant dining space with a beautiful atrium featuring floor-to-ceiling windows. There is also a magnificent fireplace made with Door County fieldstone that serves as the centerpiece of the restaurant. The spacious outdoor seating deck overlooks beautiful woods and will feature two fire pits, a spectacular water feature, live music, craft beers, premium wines and mouthwatering creations from Executive Chef Lawrence Hutchinson.

Glacier Ledge is thrilled to have Chef Lawrence overseeing the fine cuisine selections. After graduating from one of the best schools in the country, New England Culinary Institute in Vermont, Chef Lawrence took a job with the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey, California. He rose to be the assistant sous chef after only two years. He moved on to work in several restaurants and for catering companies feeding film crews in Los Angeles. He also ran his restaurant and event facility in Orange County for seven years before moving to St. Louis, Mo. taking a teaching position. Because of his California upbringing, Chef Lawrence’s focus has always been on fresh and seasonal ingredients.
