Child Care Benefit Pilot Program

United Way of Door County’s Child Care Benefit Pilot Program is giving Door County employers the opportunity to offer a child care stipend to employees who use child care services through matching funds provided by the Women’s Fund of Door County.

Families with full-time employment and at least one child younger than 5 in child care may be eligible to receive $300 per month, and those with part-time employment would receive a $150 monthly benefit. There are some income guidelines, but each application will be considered on its own merits.

Employers who participate in the nine-month program make monthly payments to United Way, which then matches their funds with the Women’s Fund portion and pays providers directly. Participants will be asked to regularly assess the program to determine whether it will be continued at the end of the pilot period.
