Chris Hockers Wins Frostbite Open

(Left to right) Chris Hockers (first), Tim Gibson (second) and Matthew Kraus (third) left the Frostbite Open not only with trophies, but with Red Putter hats and scarves as well.

Congratulations to Chris Hockers of Sister Bay, 2013’s Frostbite Champion!

The Frostbite Open was held New Year’s Day at The Red Putter Miniature Golf Course in Ephraim. A total of 40 people played in this year’s Open. Temperatures were in the low 20s with very little wind, making a great day for winter mini golf.

After two rounds of play, Chris Hockers scored 44 and 37 to win the trophies for both first place and best single game. Tim Gibson, of Sturgeon Bay, came in second place, and Matthew Kraus, of Menomonee Falls, took third. All winners left a little warmer with Red Putter scarves and hats.
