The Clearing Hosts Annual Picnic Gathering

The Clearing Folk School is celebrating its Annual Picnic Gathering on Sept. 10, starting with a social hour under the big tent on campus in the Homestead Meadow at 11 am. A picnic lunch will follow at noon. A special presentation by award-winning landscape architect Nancy Aten and conservation partner Dan Collins will begin at 1 pm, with a focus on “Nurturing Nature: Caring for The Clearing Landscape.” Annual volunteer and instructor recognition awards will then be presented. After the event, attendees are welcome to explore and hike The Clearing grounds on their own until 4 pm.

The cost is $20 per person, and pre-registration is required by Sept. 6. For out-of-town guests, a limited number two-night (Friday and Saturday) lodging and meal packages are available for an additional fee.
