Clipper Girls Golfers Compete at Shawano Lake

Sturgeon Bay’s girls golf team played in its third match of the season Thursday at the Shawano Lake Golf Course.

The Clippers had two players compete at the varsity level for the nine-hole tournament, with junior Merrill Kelsey carding a 64 for 30th place and junior Sayde Jeanquart scoring a 69 for 4th place.

The five Sturgeon Bay girls who competed on the junior varsity, with their score and place, included:  Kiera Wesley (65, 14th), Hayden Montevideo (68, 21st), Layla Stai (71, 24th), Lauren Meacham (73, 29th) and Maria Neri (76, 31st).
