Coalition Receives IMT Insurance Company Grant

Amy Bremel, Door County Alcohol & Other Drug Coalition (DCAODC) coordinator, received the IMT Insurance Company check from representative Nancy Hanson of Hanson Insurance, Sturgeon Bay.

The DCAODC was recently informed that they are the recipients of a $500 grant from the IMT Insurance Company. Each year, IMT Insurance Company sponsors a Community Contest, which awards $500 to 15 winners. The funding will be applied to the 2012 DVD project, “With Whom Will it End?”

Door County Sheriff, Terry Vogel and the DCAODC have been providing families of high school students with a mailed resource alcohol prevention packet. This packet, sent each spring since 2008, includes alcohol prevention resources, family discussion questions, and a documentary DVD that includes interviews with local friends and family members regarding the tragic loss of loved ones who were killed in a car accident resulting from underage drinking and driving.
