More than fifteen years ago, the citizens of Northern Door came together and turned their collective dream for a new YMCA facility into a reality. On Aug. 24 from 2 – 6 pm, the community can again join with their neighbors and support the Y’s Northern Door Capital Campaign by coming out to Fred & Fuzzy’s Waterfront Bar and Grill on the edges of scenic Little Sister Bay.

Fred & Fuzzy’s will generously donate half of all proceeds to the initial phase of the Northern Door YMCA’s Capital Campaign which will include replacing and upgrading the existing mechanical heating and cooling infrastructure before year’s end. Additional plans include construction of a new expanded Lifestyle Center and renovations to the Welcome Center and Kids Care spaces.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone in Northern Door for their support and commitment in helping to maintain the Northern Door Y as the gem in our community,” said Drew Richmond, Northern Door Executive Director. “We are humbled by everyone’s shared belief that the Y is far more than a gym and a pool – at the Y, we are all about changing lives!”
