Community Thanksgiving Dinner to be Carryout Event

The Sturgeon Bay Area Community Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsored by the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church, will be held as a carryout event again this year. Deliveries will be available only for those who are homebound.

Because of the need to minimize the number of volunteers in the church at any one time, only hot food will be offered. The delicious, home-cooked meal will consist of turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, squash, corn and an individual fruit pie.

To reserve a dinner, call the church office at 920.743.3241 by Nov. 22. Reservations are limited, and no additional reservations will be accepted after this date.Carryout meals can be picked up at the church, 836 Michigan St., on Thanksgiving Day between 2 pm and 5 pm. Deliveries will be made after 3 pm. Those receiving deliveries should place a TV tray or chair outside their door so the driver has a place to put the meal. The driver will call once the meal has been delivered.
