Connection between Sleep & Aging Discussed at CHIP

Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry continues its Community Health Information Programs with “Normal Sleep and the Effects of Aging” on Aug. 11 at 4 pm at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay. Neurologist Phil Hansotia, MD, will speak about the benefit of a good night’s sleep. Without enough restful sleep, older adults are more likely to have depressed mood, attention and memory problems, excessive daytime sleepiness, more nighttime falls, and use more over-the-counter or prescription sleep aids.

The Ministry also offers free blood pressure screenings twice a month at Main Street Market and St. Rosalia’s Church. For more information visit NorthernDoorHealthWellness.com.
