Creative Kids Day and the Rhode Sisters

On Friday, July 16, kids will have a chance to look behind the scenes of a professional theater at American Folklore Theatre’s “Creative Kids Day” in Peninsula State Park. This annual “casting call for creative kids” provides an opportunity for children ages 5 to 16 to spend a few hours with AFT company members and volunteers. Participants will spend the day playing theater games, joining in on cast sing-a-longs, and sneaking a rare peek inside the AFT dressing room.

Creative Kids Day will take place on and around the AFT stage in Peninsula State Park. Two session will be available: 9 am – noon and 1 – 3:30 pm. Admission is $20 per child or $50 for three siblings or more.

On Sunday, August 1 at 7 pm, the Rhode Sisters will perform at Woodwalk Gallery. Alissa Rhode (piano), Molly Rhode (string bass) and Rhonda Rae Busch (guitar) will bring their popular act of music and comedy to Door County. This all-girl band delivers a hootenanny of folk favorites and original songs featuring tight harmony singing and healthy sibling rivalry! Tickets for the performance are $35 and include wine and hors d’oeuvres. The gallery is located at 6746 County Road G in Egg Harbor.
