Creativity and Artificial Intelligence Talk at DCA

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee lecturer Kristopher Purzycki will present a lecture titled “For the Love of Blank Space: Creative Practice and the Impacts of Artificial Intelligence” at Door Community Auditorium (DCA.)

The Feb. 24 talk starts at 10 am and is the second installment of DCA’s Door County Talks series.

During the lecture, Purzycki will discuss the recent rise of computer programs that can write and create art almost like humans. While many people worry these advancements might replace human artists and writers, others find them helpful for coming up with new ideas and making their work easier. Purzycki will explore how these tools work and what they mean for the future of creativity.

The lecture is free, but donations are encouraged. Coffee and baked goods will be available for purchase. The presentation will include a short break and a post-talk question-and-answer session with the speaker.

DCA is located at 3926 Hwy 42 in Fish Creek.
