Cross-stitch Dishtowels at JCC

Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts currently features handcrafted dishtowels by Doris. As a “cottage” industry, handmade items are the center of what the craft cottage features. Doris has been creating her special gift items for Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts since their opening in August 1984.

These counted cross-stitch towels come as a set and include apple, cherry, orange, pear and peach designs. They are made from the old-fashioned flour sack towels. Doris completes each design by hand with a colorfast cotton thread so the colors won’t fade over time.

Doris also creates counted cross-stitched pillow case sets and baby quilts. All are available in very limited quantities at Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts, 6275 Highway 57. The shop is open 9 am to 5 pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from November through April. They return to their normal hours on May 1. For more information or an appointment call 920.823.2288.
