Dan Egan To Discuss New Book

Author Dan Egan will discuss his new book, The Devil’s Element: Phosphorus and a World Out of Balance, during a special Q&A-style edition of Crossroads at Big Creek’s Fish Tales lecture series on Oct. 16.

Egan, who also wrote The Death and Life of the Great Lakes, is a New York Times best-selling author and a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist.

Mark Holey, fish biologist and co-founder of the Fish Tales series, will initiate the discussion on why phosphorus is so important to our lives and the Great Lakes. They’ll also discuss Egan’s career as an environmental journalist and finish with audience questions.

Seating is limited, so reservations are required. Visit crossroadsatbigcreek.org to reserve a seat, or visit doorcountylibrary.org/event to participate via Zoom or Facebook Live. Novel Bay Booksellers will be on hand with books for purchase.
