DC Farm Bureau Announces Scholarship Recipients

Bridget Vandertie and Holly LaPlant are the recipients of the Door County Farm Bureau’s $500 higher education scholarships.

Vandertie plans to attend UW-River Falls in the fall to pursue a degree in animal science. She was involved in 4-H and FFA, and plans to work with a large animal veterinarian as a veterinarian technician.

LaPlant plans to attend UW-Madison’s Farm and Industry Short Course in the fall to pursue a degree in dairy herd management. After completing her education, LaPlant plans to return to her family’s dairy farm in hopes of being the fourth generation to farm there.
