DC Fire Company July Concert Series Supports DCMC

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) is thrilled to announce a stellar lineup of musical diversity for the whole family on Thursday evenings in July. All concerts are free to the public. Donations to support DCMC Life Assist Program are appreciated. Concerts will be held at the Door County Fire Company in Sturgeon Bay (upstairs in the music room).

Below are specific dates and performers for the series. Concerts begin at 7 pm.

July 6 – Willy Porter & Carmen Nickerson

Willy Porter’s searing fingerpicking guitar style deftly blends with Carmen Nickerson’s lush vocals to create an unforgettable sound that resonates long after the last chord fades.

July 13 – Women With Spirit

The concert features Dorothy Scott, Sue Demel and special guests Marley Gigstead, Moriah Grahl and Julia Elise Gomez. Scott is a musical explorer whose works have incorporated blues, folk, rock and jazz. Whether it’s scatting, chanting, collaborating, or writing, Demel explodes the pre-conceived notions of singing. Marley, Moriah and Julia are from “LEAP” The Human Kindness project and will bring outstanding vocals from some of the nations greatest women songwriter’s of our time.

July 20 – Ruby James Band

Soulful and sweet while bold and commanding; running the gamut from Americana to blues to flat out rock-n-roll, discover the power and magic of Ruby James. Core band members melaniejane (cello), Zach Vogel (guitar), and Rob Gay (drums) will join her.
