DCA Holds Rescheduled Movie and Lecture

Door Community Auditorium (DCA) has announced the final installments of its popular winter “Movies at the Door” Series and the St. Norbert College Distinguished Lecture Series.

On March 23 at 7 pm, Bully, a 2011 documentary film about bullying in U.S. schools, will be screened. Directed by Lee Hirsch, the film follows the lives of five students who face bullying on a daily basis. The screening is free to the public; freewill donations are accepted and encouraged.

The Lecture Series concludes with “Miraculous Beginnings: Examining the Birth Narratives of the Buddha, Jesus, and Muhammad” on April 6 at 9 am.

In the lecture, Dr. Mara Brecht, assistant professor of religious studies at St. Norbert College, will explore the familiar birth narrative of Jesus and its resonances with the birth stories of Buddha and Muhammad.

The lecture is free to the public (freewill donations encouraged). Refreshments from Base Camp Coffee Bar will be available for purchase.
