DCA Winter Lineup

Door Community Auditorium (DCA) recently announced its vibrant winter season.

On Dec. 27, DCA will add a uniquely Door County flavor to the season with its sixth-annual Play It Forward for the Holidays concert, which brings together local talent to benefit a good cause, this year, the GO BO! Foundation.

On Jan. 19, DCA invites fans of the hit Broadway musical Hamilton to gather on the main stage for a “Hamiltunes” singalong. Costumes are encouraged.

On Feb. 1, Third Coast Percussion presents “Paddle to the Sea” as the capstone event of DCA’s Winter Water Fest. Third Coast Percussion’s performance will mark the culmination of a three-day residency that will include school performances and educational outreach events.

Meredith Baxter

Michael Gross

On Feb. 10, Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross will team up to present A.R. Gurney’s acclaimed play Love Letters.

Rounding out the main stage winter shows is “We Shall Overcome” (Feb. 19), in which producer and musical director Damien Sneed weaves together a living lineage of African-American music traditions, including gospel, classical, jazz, Broadway, and spirituals, and acknowledging influences as diverse as Aretha Franklin, Wynton Marsalis, Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder and Nina Simone.
