DCAL Artists Paint En Plein Air at Birch Creek

Birch Creek Music Performance Center welcomed Door County Art League (DCAL) plein air painters to concerts throughout this season. The summer-long event comes to a climax with an art show in the Dutton Concert Barn on display through Aug. 17.

Artist members from DCAL and Birch Creek have been busy creating paintings and shooting photos featuring scenes of the historic campus as well as moments shared by concertgoers and the performers.

The plein air painting activities and art show are coordinated by DCAL members Karen DeNoto, Madonna Siles and Sue Vineyard, who is also a Birch Creek trustee.

The exhibit primarily features art created during the concerts. A portion of the proceeds from the art sales will provide student scholarships and support.

Birch Creek Music Performance Center is located on Highway E, just three miles east of Egg Harbor. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Tickets are available at BirchCreek.org, by calling 920.868.3763 or at the door.
