Decision 2008

On Nov. 4 Door County residents will join the rest of the country in casting their ballot for President of the United States, but that’s not the only big decision on the docket.

On the peninsula we’ll do our part to choose our representative in Congress, selecting either Republican challenger John Gard of Suamico or incumbent Democrat Steve Kagen of Appleton in a race that promises to be close once again. And we’ll make the call in what has probably been the most contested race for Assembly in Door County in many years, as Dick Skare (D-Fish Creek) tries to unseat four-term incumbent Garey Bies (R-Sister Bay).

Finally, several communities will decide on local referendum items, including a revenue limit override sought by Gibraltar School.
