Destination Door County Donates To Peninsula Arts And Humanities Alliance

Members of Peninsula Arts and Humanities Alliance (PAHA) received a check from Destination Door County (DDC) as part of the inaugural Art in the Door contest, which raised $1,150  to support local arts initiatives.

The Art in the Door silent auction was part of DDC’s Nov. 2 autumn gathering at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club. DDC spearheaded the art initiative, encouraging local artists to submit work that highlighted the beauty of Door County earlier this year.

“Everyone involved with PAHA was greatly honored to receive additional funding support to continue the important arts education and advocacy work required to ensure that the arts and humanities in Door County remain healthy and vibrant,” said PAHA chair and Peninsula Players Theatre managing director Brian Kelsey.

PAHA is a coalition of nonprofits that aim to enhance, promote and advocate the arts, humanities and natural sciences in Door County.
