Destination Imagination Team Receives Hope Church Grant

Mark Jinkins, chair of the Hope Endowment Committee, stands with the Sturgeon Bay Destination Imagination team of Gracen Spritka, Nalani Bicoy, Claire Tellstrom, Georgia Feldman, Sarah Bridenhagen and Madelyn Jeanquart.

The Hope Church Endowment Fund Committee has approved a grant of $500 for the local Destination Imagination team that includes Hope youth (Nalani Bicoy and Georgia Feldman) and other local sixth graders, which will help them carry forward their mission “to celebrate life, to care for one another, and to be compassionate.”

The team is the first from Sturgeon Bay (from any grade level) to qualify for the Destination Imagination Global Finals in the last three years. Global Finals is the culminating event of every Destination Imagination season.

The team accepted the challenge of raising awareness and funds for the GO BO Foundation’s Family Assistance Program as an important community program that assists local children with a life-threatening illness by helping their families pay bills. The team worked with Annika Johnson, Bo’s mother, to help carry on Bo’s wish that the community pay it forward.
