Door County Activity – The 7th Annual Spooktacular Hike

On October 11, the Peninsula State Park will host its 7th Annual Spooktacular Hike, a spooky (not gory) trail featuring 300 luminaries, shining pumpkins, as well as costumed characters like Vinnie the Vulture, Batino the Bat, and Monarch Butterflies. A donation to walk the one-mile candlelit trail is appreciated and a park vehicle sticker (or $5 special event sticker) is required. The trail begins near the Nicolet Beach lot and will be open from 5 – 7:30 pm.

Following the hike will be a bonfire, including s’mores, cider, and trail mix for a modest cost. All proceeds benefit Peninsula education and a 2009 Girl Scout camping trip. For complete information, call 920.868.3258.
