Door County Antique and Vintage Market Returns to Gibraltar School July 28-30

The Door County Antique and Vintage Market comes to Gibraltar School in Fish Creek for its 42nd Annual Sale on July 28-30. Over the years, this sale has become a Door County summer tradition, drawing both locals and tourists. The event has its own tradition of contributing to the community. The Sister Bay Lions Club sponsors the sale and uses its share of the proceeds to fund their Leader Dogs for the Blind Program.

The event has new management but according to the newcomers, that is about all that will change. The sale features the wares of 34 handpicked vendors from throughout the Midwest. Items for sale will range from fine antiques to more eclectic one-of-a-kind decorative items.

“This sale was built on quality antiques and we are looking forward to carrying on that tradition. We have also broadened the selection a bit to appeal to more people,” says John Whaley, one of the sale’s new managers.

This year’s event will also feature special guests: design expert Cynthia Weston, Mary Lou’s Crystal Repair and Hippie Tom of American Pickers fame. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is $6, and free for children under 12. For more information, follow Door County Antique and Vintage Market on Facebook.
