Door County Featured on the Travel Channel Aug. 28

Door County is featured on the Travel Channel’s series Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations in a new episode that premieres Aug. 28, 8:30 pm. The series, hosted by James Beard Award-winning chef and culinary explorer Andrew Zimmern, highlights the not-to-be-missed food that defines a location. The upcoming half-hour episode will scope out the down-to-earth culinary traditions of scenic Door County. From fresh fish caught in Lake Michigan to locally grown produce that defines Door County’s Nordic-influenced cuisine. Film crews were in Door County in July of 2017 capturing the footage for the episode scheduled to air next week.
