Door County Historical Society Dinner Aug. 26

The Door County Historical Society will host – and Jim Draeger will present – the society’s monthly dinner program, “Bottoms Up,” on Aug. 26, 6 pm, at the Institute Saloon. 

Wisconsin native Draeger joined the Wisconsin Historical Society staff in 1987 and coordinated Wisconsin’s National Register of Historic Places for 12 years. He has co-authored the national award-winning books Fill’er Up: The Glory Days of Wisconsin Gas Stations and Bottoms Up: A Toast to Wisconsin’s Historic Bars and Breweries and has been a historical consultant to the Wisconsin Public Television programs of the same title. He serves as the state historic preservation officer. 

The price for the roasted-chicken dinner is $21 per member and $25 per guest. Reserve your spot by sending payment to the Door County Historical Society, P.O. Box 71, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
