Door County Moravian Churches Come Together for Mission Program

The county’s three Moravian churches will present a free Together in Mission program at Egg Harbor’s Kress Pavillion on Nov. 10, 4-6 pm. Refreshments will be served. 

Consultant Rick Nelson and Andrew Starr of Door County Memorial Hospital will discuss the ongoing work of the Ahuas Clinic in Honduras, which has provided medical care for the Miskito people, including prenatal care, midwife education, nutrition instruction, feeding malnourished children, vaccinations and teaching HIV detection and prevention.

Lauren Daoust, a social worker at Door County Memorial Hospital and an elder at Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church, will talk about the newly formed Door County Homeless Initiative, for which she will provide leadership.
