Door County Wearable Art Show Returns Oct. 5-6

The Door County Wearable Art Show (doorcountywearableartshow.com) will return to the Sister Bay Village Hall, 10693 N. Bay Shore Drive, on Oct. 5, 9 am – 5 pm; and Oct. 6, 10 am – 4 pm. Admission is free.

The show’s artists are tuned in to the drama and subtleties of the season, creating pieces that can be worn into winter. A plant-dyed jacket by Pat Rued is perfect for celebrating the season’s colors; try a Kantha quilt jacket by Anne Gainey; and discover colorful and thick sweaters, hats and mittens by Lana Vosk.

Door County artists Peter Ciesla and Dawn Patel offer clothing in earthy basics and extravagant pieces for special holiday occasions; find a treasured accent piece of fabricated and forged silver and gemstone jewelry by Amy Taylor and Steve Mitchell; delight in leather purses by Ilze Heider and gemstone jewelry by Lisa Larsen. And visit newcomer Joan Kennedy’s booth for felted hats and accessories in bright and bold colors.
