Last Door County Wearable Art Show of 2016 is Oct. 1 & 2

The final Door County Wearable Art Show of 2016 will be held Oct. 1, 9 am to 5 pm, and Oct. 2, 10 am to 4 pm, at the Sister Bay Village Hall. The show has contemporary, artist-made women’s clothing, accessories and jewelry in a wide range of styles, sizes and prices.

Local designer Sue Donohoo of Soo Hoo Artwear of Baileys Harbor features her fabulous handcrafted jackets, tunics, shawls and scarves. Pat Rued, of Deerfield, Ill., will have her exceptional collection of jackets and tops featuring an interplay of color, texture and pattern. Milwaukee artist Ellen Gvora will show her current collection of fashion tunics, skirts and casual accessories for customers of all ages. Ann Gainey, of Wind Lake, Wis., returns with AnnLouise Fashions and jackets and tops in wool, silk, and cotton. Pat Kroth, of Verona, Wis., with her one-of-a-kind silk scarves that are hand-dyed and sun-printed.

Amy Taylor, a gold and silver jeweler, creates pieces that are constructed with an emphasis on unique hinge work, gemstone color juxtapositions, as well as found objects. Coleen Bins, owner and resident jeweler of Chief Oshkosh in Egg Harbor, will debut her latest collection of sterling silver jewelry. Local Door County jewelry artist Angela Lensch will showcase her 2016 Fall Collection of hand-woven jewelry in gold and silver. Mary Beth Mead, of Ellison Bay, will showcase her unique collection of handmade jewelry that combines semi precious stones with vintage pieces. Marcia Farber, owner of Cousin’s Walk Gallery in Ellison Bay, will show her collage necklaces made from recycled costume and vintage jewelry as well as pocket scarves.
