Door County’s Chewy Stars in New Documentary, Conducts Workshops

Area libraries have added a documentary with Door County relevance to their collections, but now you can also catch the amazing documentary Wild Horse, Wild Ride through Netflix streaming.

The movie features a group of horse lovers who take part in the annual Extreme Mustang Makeover Challenge, a contest that gives 100 people 100 days to tame a wild mustang for adoption. One of the contestants featured in the film is Jesus “Chewy” Jauregui of Baileys Harbor, who uses his horse whispering skills to tame the mustang.

You can also catch Chewy in live action on July 27 and Aug. 17 when he conducts daylong workshops on Horsemanship & Roping at his Horsemanship Ranch on County Highway A.

He will provide hands-on instruction to riders mounted on their own horses. Friends, family and the general public are welcome to observe.
