Door Shakespeare Announces its 2018 Actors

Joseph Hanreddy and Leda Hoffmann return to direct a powerhouse company of 18 at Door Shakespeare this summer. Hanreddy takes on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Hoffmann directs The Comedy of Errors.

Much Ado About Nothing’s on-stage couple Beatrice and Benedick are portrayed by real-life theatre couple Deborah Staples and, in his Door Shakespeare debut, David Cecsarini. Returning cast members from seasons past include Joe Boersma, John and Luke Brotherhood, Scott Mckenna Campbell, James Carrington, Mark Corkins, Elyse Edelman, Carrie Hitchcock and Charlie Wright. New to the Door Shakespeare stage are Todd Denning, Rob Doyle, Katherine Norman, Drew Shirley and Ben Yela. Acting company interns include Mikkel Knutson and Ryan Zierk.

“We have brought together a company of some of the finest established and up-and-coming Midwest-based actors to share two of William Shakespeare’s best-loved comedies under the guidance of two of the most-respected directors working today,” said Michael Stebbins, Door Shakespeare’s Producing Artistic Director.

Door Shakespeare’s preview dates include June 28, 29, 30, and July 2 at 7:30 pm and July 3 at 2 pm for Much Ado About Nothing and July 5 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, July 6 & 7 at 7:30 pm for Comedy of Errors.

Door Shakespeare’s regular schedule runs July 9 to Aug. 18, with Much Ado About Nothing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7:30 pm and Comedy Of Errors on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 pm, and on Saturdays at 5 pm.
