Eagles Edge Wolves in Girls Hoops

After being tied 19-19 at halftime Thursday, Southern Door’s girls basketball team won its Packerland Conference home game against Algoma, 48-42.
The Eagles’ Allianna Dufeck scored 12 of her game-high 19 points in the second half. Payton Gilbertson added 10 points.
The Wolves were led by Ryley Zimmerman with 13 points.
Southern Door, which improved to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the Packerland, plays another conference game Friday at Gibraltar.
Clippers Defeat Red Devils
Sturgeon Bay’s girls basketball team led by double digits during much of Thursday’s non-conference game it won at Green Bay East, 59-43.
The Clippers were led in scoring by senior Autumn Rass with 21 points. Sophomore Dasha Yeltysheva added 14 points.
Up next for Sturgeon Bay (2-8, 0-5) is a conference game Friday at Algoma.
