Eco-Adventure Set in Isle Royale National Park

Bay Shore Outdoor Store and Door County Nature and Travel are collaborating on another ecotourism venture. Combining the popular activities of kayaking and hiking the two Door County businesses are offering a trip to Isle Royale National Park. Rick Wylie, owner of Bay Shore Outdoor Store and Naturalist Paul Regnier will lead the 6-day adventure to Lake Superior’s wilderness island.

Isle Royale National Park is designated as a park and international biosphere preserve composed of Lake Superior and inland lakes. The trip is planned for August 23 – 29. Participants will explore the wonders of the Isle through day hikes, kayak trips, and free time activities.

The kayak and hiking tour includes 6 nights lodging, (two nights in Houghton, Michigan and four nights at the Rock Harbor Lodge on Isle Royale), most meals, kayaks, ferry transportation, guides, and fees.
