Egg Harbor Couple Exhibit at UU Gallery

BK & Rob Story, who recently opened Harborview Gallery in Egg Harbor, will pair up their artwork at the UU Gallery’s September exhibit which promises to be filled with texture and color.

BK works in jewelry design, reaching in to metal-smithing, polymer/stone and fused glass. She fell in love with metal-smithing years ago but sculpted precious metal clays are fast becoming her favorite medium. BK admits to being a rock hound, trying to capture nature’s own artwork as she incorporates stone and fossils in her pieces. Not to be overshadowed are the brightly colored and bold pendants in fused glass she makes. And her sculpted polymer pieces also find their way to note cards.

Rob Story is a painter in both oil and watercolor. Most of his art is focused on Door County where he expresses his internal feeling in what he paints. He believes when he is “fortunate enough to capture this (feeling) on paper and another person senses it, and is attracted to the painting, a wonderful connection is made.” Rob recently added Giclee prints and note cards to his collection.

The UU Gallery is open Sundays, 11 am – 12:30 pm. and Mondays 1 – 3 pm at 10341 Hwy. 42, Ephraim. If you are interested in displaying art work, phone 920.839.2606.
